Bathroom of Country Style - research

There's a relaxed, worn - about - the - edges look to this vast bathroom, where individual pieces rather than a coordinated suite take pride of place. An old peeling tub, rusting enamel vase and distressed chest give this room stacks of character, with each piece given plenty of space to breathe thanks to the room's generous dimensions.

Ditsy florals and pretty pastel shades give this bathroom a feminine, country - cottage feel that is forever England. A stylish basin set into a wall unit and smart tiled floor bring the room up to date without spoiling the charming cottagey feel.

Salvaged Victorian tiles are the basis for the colour scheme in this welcoming, country style bathroom. Cladding the wall and sides of the bath with reeded panelling painted a creamy white, enhances the country feel, and little splashes of mushroom, lilac and blue add subtle interest.

Comfy, cosy and ever so slightly ramshackle, this unassuming bathroom is country style at its most simple. The room is light, functional and welcoming, with easy, laid - back style.
